| London has passed from being a wooden bridge crossing the Thames in 43 AD to its current extension of 1,554 km2 with 7 million inhabitants.
Those visiting the city for the first time go to Westminster and Royal London. This is the area with most famous monuments, from the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, to the greatest art collections in the world in the National Gallery and the Tate Britain.
This area can truly be called Royal London, as it is marked by the triangle of streets where the Queen passes when she goes from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey or the Houses of Parliament for official acts. |
