| Eindhoven has a lot of greenery just a few minutes from the city centre, where you will find beautiful natural scenery in Genneper Parks and Kempen and the Peel. Genneper Parks is an area of natural beauty with many leisure possibilities. On your bicycle or on foot you can go round the park and do many sports such as swimming, ice sports in the winter, golf etc, and there are also stables, and even a sauna.
Every Wednesday at 2 p.m. and on Saturday mornings, you can join the Guided City Walk, a two-hour stroll around the city centre. The starting point is the Tourist Office next to the central station.
On 28th and 29th April, the eve of the Queen and her birthday, the whole city turns orange. The street becomes a show with music and DJs, bands, theatre, markets and all kinds of activities for the young and not so young.
The Frits Philips Music Hall is one of the most modern concert halls in Europe, and the best in terms of acoustics. In the centre of Eindhoven, you can attend jazz, pop, world music, classical and special concerts almost every night. |
