| Malaga is an exceptionally cheerful, warm city, with all the typical Andalusian folklore. so it is hardly surprising that its festivals are loaded with these topics and the cheer of the land. The most noteworthy festivals are:
• Holy Week: with processions, the most important of which is the Confraría de los Gitanos.
• Fair and Summer Festivals: in the third week of August, Malagan folklore reaches its greatest splendour. Particular mention must be made of the Embroidery Parade and the Horse Fair.
• The year ends its festivities with a curious tradition on 28th December, the day of the Holy Innocents, when in the Venta del Túnel people come from all parts to sing and dance flamenco until they are exhausted. The spectacle is truly curious.
